₹2000 Crore Cyber Fraud in Rajasthan: Karnataka Police to Visit, Foreign Ministry Involved

In connection with the Rs 2,000 crore cyber fraud case in Rajasthan, the police have recovered two more luxury cars from the hideouts of the arrested accused. Additionally, documents related to properties acquired with money from cyber fraud at various locations have been seized. To authenticate these documents and proceed with the seizure of the related properties, the police have sought legal advice. Now, the Karnataka Police will also come to Sri Ganganagar. The names of the arrested accused are on the list of wanted individuals by the Karnataka Police. Therefore, the Karnataka Police might assist the Rajasthan Police in unraveling this fraud.

Investigating Officer, CO City IPS B. Aditya, stated that during interrogations, the father of the main accused, Ajay Arya, Lajpatray Arya, a resident of Ambika City-2 colony in the Old Town, and his brother Deepak Arya have shared information regarding the roles of several accused. Due to their indications, two more luxury cars have been recovered.

Raid on a Lavish House in Sri Ganganagar

Several documents pertaining to the purchase and sale of properties have been recovered. Previously, during a raid on the main accused’s lavish house, the Sri Ganganagar police had seized Rs 10 lakh in cash, three CPUs, six mobile phones, eight ATM cards, three PAN cards, and a luxury car worth Rs 85 lakh. Now, two more luxury cars have been seized. The Investigating Officer mentioned that the Karnataka Police are also searching for these named accused, with two of them currently on police remand here.

Data Recovery to Guide the Investigation

A special team from the Sadar Police Station has gone to Jaipur to avail the services of digital forensic experts. Sadar Station Officer Subhashchandra stated that they had initially examined three CPUs, six mobile phones, eight ATM cards, and three PAN cards seized from the accused, but the data had been deleted. Therefore, in Jaipur, digital forensic experts are working on recovering data from the mobile phones, CPUs, and the three PAN cards. Once the data is recovered, the investigation can progress further.

Contacting the Foreign Ministry for Fugitives

The main accused, Ajay Kumar Verma son of Lajpat Rai from Ambika City-2 colony in the Old Town, Saurabh Chawla son of Ramesh Kumar from Ward 5 of Chunaavadh village, Saloni daughter of Kashiram and wife of Saurabh Chawla from Chunaavadh village, Rajendra Singh son of Premchand Soni from Varayamkheda village in the Sarwar Khuian police station area of Punjab, and Karamjit Singh son of Malkeet Singh Kamboj from Male ki Dhani in Kalian village, all are reported to have fled to Dubai.

To bring these fugitives back from Dubai or other locations, the Superintendent of Police has contacted the Ministry of External Affairs. Cases have been registered against all these accused in both the Sadar and Old Town police stations of Sri Ganganagar.
