₹14.69 Lakh Robbery in Jodhpur: Bag Snatched from Accountant, 3 Arrested

a robbery in Jodhpur’s Basni area involving 14.69 lakh rupees, a factory clerk, and a Bullet motorcycle

Daylight Robbery in Jodhpur: On Thursday, in the Basani police station area, two criminals riding a bullet motorbike aimed at Rajendra Singh, a factory clerk, and snatched with a bag containing 14 lakh and sixty-nine thousand rupees. Singh was on his way to deliver the money, which Chainsukh Suthar, a factory owner in the Sangaria area, had entrusted to him.

Quick-footed and calculated, the robbers got away despite Singh’s frantic chase. Soon after the robbery took place, the police set up checkpoints throughout the area and began chasing down the suspects, and three persons were taken into custody. Such an open act has brought into sharp focus the readiness of the authorities and the common man to fight for their rights, but investigation is still considered to be ongoing.

Precision Strike on the Tanawada-Sangaria Route

The robbery occurred in between Tanawada and Sangaria Phanta, an expanse which was seized by the culprits when they seized the opportunity. According to the Basni police, Rajendra Singh was carrying the factory’s money after receiving a call from Suthar directing him to take the cash to the Sangaria area on Wednesday morning. While traveling on his motorcycle, the robbers, their faces predominantly masked by helmets to disguise their identities, sprung the trap with near elegance. They blocked his way, glared at him for a moment, then bolted toward him and snatched the bag that hung suspended from the handle of his motorcycle. Within seconds, they roared away on their Bullet and went off into the distance; all Singh could do was stand helpless in their wake.

Rajendra Singh, however shaken, did not hesitate to put into action the plan. He followed the fleeing robbers in the hope of retrieving the large amount of cash given to him. But the motorcycle-riding scourges were too speedy and nimble for him to catch up with him and escape. Realizing that any further pursuit would be pointless, Singh quickly rang up his employer and reproached the police of the robbery. Upon receiving the news, the police kicked into high gear by setting up checkpoints and indefinitely searching the area for evidence. The police action in that regard produced prompt results with the apprehension of three persons, potential suspects in the crime. Whether those arrested are the real perpetrators still remains to be investigated, but their arrests came in handy.

Inside Knowledge Fuels Suspicion

What adds a little spice to this case is the notion that the robbers probably had an inside tip. Police preliminary investigations reveal that the perpetrators might have some prior knowledge that Rajendra Singh was carrying a hefty sum of cash on that particular day. It could imply either some personal acquaintance with the victim or someone who was familiar with the operations of the factory. The usage of helmets by the criminals, coupled with what appears to be prior reconnaissance-they were following Singh before the attack-puts it in a class of a well planned operation as opposed to one of random opportunity. Had they not had their prior knowledge about the cash, their timing and target selection would seem awfully coincidental.

As the inquiry continues, questions abound about the how of such a breach of security and who may have tipped off the robbers. For now, the detained suspects are under scrutiny, and the police work day and night to recover the stolen Rs. 14.69 lakh. The incident serves as a potent reminder of the hazards of moving large sums of money without proper security, with both Singh and Suthar left to contemplate the aftermath of this fearless robbery.
