Amit Shah Celebrates BSF’s 60th Foundation Day in Jodhpur

The Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will pay tribute on Sunday evening by speaking at the 60th Foundation Day Parade of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, as per a Home Ministry announcement on social media. He will also unveil a statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Circuit House in Jodhpur during the celebration.

With respect to that, the Home Ministry said in one of its remarks on X: “Union Home and Cooperation Minister @AmitShah will address the 60th Foundation Day Parade Ceremony of Border Security Force (BSF) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan tomorrow and unveil the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ji at the Circuit House, Jodhpur.”

According to Minister Shah’s remarks made on Armed Forces Flag Day, he has honored the gallantry and dedication of the armed forces and called upon the citizens to contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. He has extended his respect to the sacrifices of martyrs when he said: “Tributes to the immortal martyrs of our armed forces on Armed Forces Flag Day. With their valour and patriotism, our martyrs have created everlasting sagas of supreme sacrifice to protect the honour of our nation.”

He also called on the citizens to contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund that cares for the armed forces and their dependents. Shah received a miniature flag from the Sainik Welfare and Resettlement of Gujarat.

Previously paying homage to the soldiers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also urged citizens to contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. He emphasized that Armed Forces Flag Day is to appreciate the bravery, resolve, and sacrifices of our soldiers: “Each and every person should contribute to this fund.”

Chief of Army Staff Gen. Upendra Dwivedi made a contribution to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund on behalf of the Indian Army on the eve of Armed Forces Flag Day as per a post on X. The Secretary of the Kendriya Sainik Board ceremonially pinned an Armed Forces Flag on the COAS during the event.

Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister, also called the public to donate to the Fund of Armed Forces Flag Day. He stressed the responsibility of the nation as a whole toward the welfare of serving and retired soldiers, in addition to their families, in a statement from the Defence Ministry.
