The much-awaited exam REET-2024 answer key has been released by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. Thus, thousands of aspiring teachers have been given reprieve and opportunity. Candidates who took the exam can now check the answer key and raise objections, if any, until March 31. This is a phase of utmost importance in the exam process, as it allows the participants to be assured of the accuracy of their answer sheets before the declaration of the final result. By giving this opportunity, the board has shown its commitment once again toward transparency, which has become the hallmark of its evaluation system.
Exam Papers Uploaded, Results on the Horizon
The Assistant Secretary of the Board, Kailash Chandra Sharma, has stated that the question papers for REET-2024 were uploaded to the official website of the Board on the night of March 19. The rapidity of the act allowed the candidates enough time to check their answers with the question papers and the answer key thereafter. Sharma added that the board is willing to evaluate closely the objections raised by the candidates regarding the answer key.
Following this, the board will declare the results that are being awaited by over 13 lakh candidates. Slowly and painstakingly, the board intends to go about it, which shows their seriousness toward providing a fair and error-free result for arguably the most important teacher eligibility test in Rajasthan.
Massive Turnout: Over 13 Lakh Candidates Appeared
The REET-2024 exam held on February 27 and 28 in three shifts noted a very good attendance. A total of 13,77,256 candidates appeared for the test for a teaching position in Rajasthan’s government schools. This number is considerable; yet, it does not meet the application figure of 15,44,518, meaning that over 1.6 lakh registered candidates did not show up. With such high stakes attached to these exams, becoming a gateway to countless teaching careers, aspirants traveled to the testing sites from across the state, making it one of the largest such examinations in recent times.
The shift is now on to the objection phase, and the announcement of results, further tempered by questions that may be weighted with the cumulative score, will be decisive for their fate. This examination stands for many others and is their gateway to a respectable and settled career in education.
