According to early estimates, the first day collection of “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” has fetched a staggering 25.00 crore net in India, making it the biggest first day grosser for its hero Venkatesh. Based on early reports, this figure is likely to increase as final collections from offline sources are awaited.
The film was hugely successful given the packed houses in every cinema with an overall Telugu occupancy of 86.11 on the earth in the first show. The afternoon shows recorded the highest of 92.67%, while evening and night shows followed closely behind. Such occupancy rates solidify the drawing power of the film among family audiences, which is the breed for which filmmakers are said to have predominantly tailored it.
