Pinkfest 2025 Showcases the Vibrant Tapestry of Indian Culture in Jaipur

Jaipur News: Pinkfest 2025 opens at RIC Jaipur Pinkfest 2025, now in its fourth edition, kicked off at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) here today. The festival – a curated symphony of art, music, literature and conversations – witnessed the participation of renowned artists, writers and speakers from across India and the world. The cultural performances and engaging discussions were the highlights of the event.

A Grand Opening and Thoughtful Conversations

The festival began with the lamp-lighting ceremony which was attended by RIC Director NC Goyal, festival mentor Prof. Chinmay Mehta, convener Bhawani Shankar Sharma, Pinkfest founder Satyajit Talukdar, and many others like Narmada Prasad Upadhyay, NP Padhy, Sanjeev Gautam, Bharat Gupta, and Pratap Rao.

The session ‘Narrativity in Indian Arts’ was another interesting one where Padma Shri Bharat Gupta said: ‘All arts are woven together by a single thread of emotion which gives humanity its soul. ’ Narmada Prasad Upadhyay, Lakshmi Krishnamurthy and Dr. Tulika Gupta were also a part of the discussion.

Another session ‘The Concept of the Creative Process’ talked about the significance of colours in Indian art. “Colors are the source of curiosity; through them an artist pours emotions on the canvas, ” said artist R Ramanand. Rakesh Vyas, Sudesh Sharma, Prof. Sangeet Pillai and Neeki Chaturvedi were on the panel.

A Feast of Art and Literature

Pinkfest 2025 also features an exhibition curated by artist Dharmendra Rathore which showcases over 400 paintings by 100 artists from India and countries like Brazil, Norway, Australia, and England, depicting Rajasthan’s art, culture, and heritage. Indian artists include Ritik Patel, Abhishek Sharma, Suraj Patel, Shridhar Ayyar, Mukesh Salvi, RB Gautam, KR Subhana, Jayant Parikh, Subhash Chand, and Kush Mali, among others.

The first day also witnessed the launch of two books by Bodhi Prakashan. Chutki Bhar, a poetry collection by Madhu Saxena and Milunga Tumhe, also a poetry collection by Manish Pareek, were launched at a gathering of eminent writers, publishers and literature lovers, where the discussions were as interesting as the books.

Day One: A Burst of Performances and Creativity

The first day of the festival had a lot in store for the visitors – live art camps, a culture ramp walk, theatre, Kathak dance, classical music, folk music, storytelling, a screening of The Golden Light directed by Joy Banerjee, and much more.

Later in the evening, the spirituality was further enhanced by the Odissi dance performance by ‘Reela Hota’. The evening ended with Kalam, a confluence of folk art, theater, workshops and exhibitions.
