Kota to Get Greenfield Airport, AIIMS & IT Park? Central Budget May Bring Big News

Kota News: It is expected that in the central budget there will be a mention in this regard as RIICO has sent a proposal to the central government through the state government regarding development of the park. It has a possibility of an investment of three thousand crores.

Union Budget 2025 Expectations for Rajasthan:

The presentation of the central general budget is scheduled for Saturday. There are hopes that the central budget will accelerate pending projects in the Kota division. The people of Kota are hopeful for an AIIMS-quality medical institution in the educational city. Medical facilities in Kota need to be improved. Besides Hadoti, there are thousands of patients from Madhya Pradesh who come here for treatment. As per the experts, if an AIIMS comes into existence in Kota, it would definitely lessen the burden of patients at Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur and thus provide better medical facilities to patients. This demand has been running for many years for an IT park. Setting it up could generate a lot of IT-based industries in Kota and provide job opportunities.

Dr. Ashok Sharda, past national and former provincial president of IMA, and Dr. Deepak Gupta, Secretary of IMA Kota, said that the central government might consider even lessening import duties on medical instruments to make healthcare affordable. This would improve accessibility, competition, and attractiveness for the patients in Kota’s medical sector. The central government should promote medical tourism as well.

Pharma Park in Kota:

In the country, four bulk drug parks i.e. Pharma Parks are expected to be established. The central budget is expected to announce one bulk drugs park in Kota. Govindram Mittal, the founding president of the SSI Association, says that the industrial area next to the Delhi-Mumbai expressway under the Bharatmala project is deemed appropriate for developing a bulk drugs park i.e. Pharma Park. RIICO has sent proposals to the central government through the state government for the development of this park. It is expected to bring in investments of about three thousand crores and, on becoming operational, may offer direct employment to 30,000 people. Hopes are also rife about announcement regarding an industrial corridor in Kota.

Parwan Irrigation Project to Get National Status:

Both state and central governments have set budgets for PKC-ERCP (Ramjal Setu Link Project). Parwan, a national project motivation-the note of project status demand to have- a project, is the most important seen from Haadoti. It is being said by farmer leader Dashrath Kumar that this will definitely become a boon for Hadoti, so it should be given the status of a national project. This project, significant for Jhalawar, Baran, and Kota, would benefit farmers, the public, and industries with the funding it receives. Parwan Major Irrigation Project has planned budget of 7500 crore rupees, with already 4000 crore rupees spent on several works that include compensations and remaining about 3500 crore rupees to be used.

Budget for Greenfield Airport:

As for Kota, the biggest concern is the airport. After double-flying the government, the Greenfield Airport has finally moved into fast gear. Almost all clearances have been completed, and the DPR is ready. The DPR approval is expected soon, and everybody is expecting a big amount-central budget allocation for the airport, which is anticipated to be built at a cost of around one thousand crores.

Expectations also stretch to raise the limits on the various exemptions on interests for senior citizens, announce schemes towards tax systems for new AI startups, set GST registration thresholds of INR 50 lakh for goods and INR 25 lakh for services, and a new Direct Tax Code commencing from April 1, 2026, which will bring comprehensive simplification of income tax.
