New Bus Station in Jaipur to Relieve Sindhi Camp
In alleviating the root causes of traffic congestion-inadequate infrastructure and enforcement-the administration has envisioned changing Jaipur into a more mobile and environmentally sound city under the Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. The strategically located new bus stands outside the city shall play a significant role in decongesting the center, which is one of the busiest transport hubs, Sindhi Camp.
Relocation of the Narayan Singh Tiraha bus stand and the regulation of market operations indicate a resolve to introduce discipline and minimize the havoc during peak traffic and commercial activities. This joined-up approach to urban planning and traffic management for Jaipur should therefore be provided as reference for other growing cities in India grappling with similar situations.
