Free Bus Travel for REET Candidates: 5-Day Relief by Roadways

The Rajasthan government has provided free travel facilities on roadways buses for candidates appearing for the REET Exam 2025.

The latest initiative launched by the Rajasthan government providing free travel permits for applicants using roadways buses has come up as a great relief for candidates of the REET Exam 2025. By launching this service, the state has given support to more than 14 lakh students that have enrolled for the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) scheduled on February 27 and 28, 2025. Free travel will be made available for a maximum of five days; two days before and two days after the exam, to ensure that the candidates will not have to take the stress for traveling either before or after the exam. For availing of this facility, the only thing necessary for the candidates will be a presentation of their admit cards, thus making this scheme easy to avail.

The service shall be limited to Roadways Blue Line services, being a fleet kept solely for this purpose. For candidates taking the examination on February 27, the free pass will be available for travel beginning February 25 to March 1, while those for February 28 will have free travel from February 26 to March 2. This staggered schedule allows the exam to last for two days and gives flexibility to students coming from and going to exam centers across the state. With more than 1.4 million candidates registered, this service is aimed at nurturing the government’s will to educate and provide equal opportunities to the aspiring teachers, especially for the rural and socially underprivileged candidates, who massively rely on the public transport system.

REET Exam Details and Its Significance

The REET examination forms an important step for the recruitment of teachers in Rajasthan and serves as a means of leading to the selection of qualified teachers in state-run schools. The exam will be conducted on February 27 and 28, 2025, with astonishingly large participation, reportedly over 14 lakh candidates, registering across the state. This large turnout is emblematic of the exam’s perceived importance as an open door to a more stable teaching career and a shaping force toward education’s future in Rajasthan. The schedules of the two days suit to manage such a big number of candidates while conducting a systematic and fair examination.

The free transport facility shall provide more easy access to the examination from almost all 14,29,800+ registered candidates-in most cases struggling with either financial or logistic problems. The move by the government is to provide ease while restricting the facility only to Blue Line buses, clear-cut for candidates. Those availing themselves of the facilities must retain their identity cards and produce them. Upon this basis, travel fares hitherto a burden are now removed, and candidates go to the examination more confident, as Rajasthan gears for this mammoth recruitment drive, free transport coupled with a well-planned exam routine emphasizes proactive work in supporting the next generation of educators, ensuring that logistical roadblocks do not succeed in detracting from their ambitions.
